Tas: Service to mark Port Arthur 10th anniversary =3
Keith Moulton, whose daughter Nanette Mikac was killed along with his six-year-old
and three-year-old granddaughters, Alannah and Madeline, told the crowd the past decade
had been difficult.
"Many of us at this anniversary service today would've experienced quite a number of
times over the past 10 years those storms that disturb our daily way of life.
"Storms that were caused when we suddenly were reminded of those events 10 years ago
that brought pain, loss, confusion, sorrow, anger and fear into our everyday living.
"Even today we can still experience these reminders at a family get-together, at a
birthday party and especially at Christmas time. Sometimes what we read or hear can quickly
bring a sad and unexpected memory to our minds."
