Hounded in the hills.(News)

I enjoy forest and mountain running, and have been attacked six times in the past few years - no, not by humans, but by dogs.

Each time the owners dismissed the incidents with comments like, "you must have provoked them", "this has never happened before", or "it's your fault because you were running".

I have seen dogs on the mountain gleefully rip apart a family of Egyptian goslings.
