Jan. 24--Siam Pulp and Paper Plc (SPP), a subsidiary of the Siam Cement Group, plans to invest two billion baht this year on expanding its production capacity to meet increasing demand.
Somboon Chuchawal, SPP president, said the company was currently operating at full capacity of 1.5 million tonnes a year. The expansion programme, to begin this year and scheduled to be completed by the middle of 2005, was slated to increase capacity by 80,000 tonnes a year.
