WA: Police charge man with attempted murder
PERTH, April 21 AAP - A 28-year-old man accused of attempting to set fire to anotherman was charged today with attempted murder.
Police spokesman Wayne Cocking said police would allege the man attempted to set fireto another man who was sleeping in a vehicle in a shed on a property in Denmark, about400km south-east of Perth.
"It will be alleged a person was asleep in a vehicle in a shed when the offender pouredaccelerant onto the vehicle and surrounds and set fire to it," Inspector Cocking said.
He said the sleeping man managed to escape with only minor burns to his hands.
No other details about the incident have been released but Inspector Cocking said theman would face court in Albany tomorrow morning.
